Jemtlander Pulk Body J17 with mounting hardware and runners:

If the product is not in stock, it will be delivered within the stated delivery time.

For those who want to build their own pulk, we offer pulk bodies equipped with compression straps, shaft attachment points, and runners. The J17 Pulk Body is the same hull used in the complete Jemtlander 17 pulk. It is made from HDPE plastic, a material that is lightweight, durable, and flexible.

The bottom of the pulk is reinforced with three runners, while four compression straps are mounted along the sides to help secure your gear.

Technical specifications:

  • External dimensions: 172 × 57 cm
  • Internal dimensions (top): 161 × 51 cm
  • Height: 12 cm
  • Thickness: 4 mm
  • Weight of pulk body only: 3.9 kg
  • Weight including reinforcement runners and attachment hardware: 5.5 kg

Tip:

Our AURORAW Premium stove box (two stoves model) fits perfectly into the Jemtlander 17 pulk.

Jemtlander Pulk shafts:

If the product is not in stock, it will be delivered within the stated delivery time.

These shafts are designed to withstand demanding use and provide reliable control when hauling heavy loads. The combination of a tubular bow and a locked cross brace creates an exceptionally rigid and stable structure, allowing a fully loaded pulk to be handled safely in most terrain conditions. If necessary, the shafts are also strong enough to help right the pulk should it tip over onto its side.

The shaft attachment is mounted on the upper edge of the pulk, allowing the shafts to be folded over the pulk when not in use. This makes storage and transportation easier and more convenient.

The aluminum tube construction allows the shaft width to be adjusted according to the user's needs. The width can be tailored to different body sizes and skiing styles, improving both comfort and handling.

Construction and Features

The cross brace is attached to the longitudinal fiberglass tubes using a unique T-connector secured with four screws. Since no bolts pass through the tubes themselves, the position of the cross brace can be adjusted to suit the user's preferences.

When using two pulk bags, the cross brace can be positioned between the bags so that the shafts fold neatly over the pulk. In more demanding terrain, the cross brace can be mounted closer to the user, allowing it to be used as a grip point when correcting or stabilizing the pulk if it begins to tip.

The T-connector also allows the shaft width to be adjusted at the harness end. This makes it possible to adapt the shafts to different body sizes and personal preferences. The final width depends both on the position of the cross brace and on where it is mounted along the fiberglass tubes.

At the harness end, the shaft width can be adjusted between 36 and 56 cm. These measurements apply when the cross brace is mounted halfway between the pulk attachment point and the user.

The width of the shafts, combined with their elevated mounting position, helps guide them around obstacles and reduces the risk of snagging on terrain features.

The shaft attachment is designed to withstand heavy loads. In the unlikely event that the attachment were to fail, the pulk's packing strap passes through the hull, allowing the journey to continue without immediate repairs.

The drawbar is made from highly durable nylon. It is mounted inside the fiberglass tube using a grooved rod and secured with heat-shrink tubing. A shackle and carabiner at the end of the drawbar provide a quick and reliable connection to the pulling harness.

Jemtlander Pulk bag 300L:

If the product is not in stock, it will be delivered within the stated delivery time.

The Jemtlander 17 pulk can be equipped with one 300L pulk bag.

The pulk bag is designed to fill the interior of the pulk as efficiently as possible, helping to reduce the amount of snow that can accumulate between the pulk and the bag. Its spacious design makes packing and unpacking easy while also providing a clear overview of your equipment. The bag allows gear to be conveniently transferred from the pulk into a tent, wilderness hut, or cabin. Even when heavily loaded, it can be dragged directly across the snow when needed.

Carrying handles are located on both the long and short sides of the bag, making it easy to lift, carry, and reposition.

The fabric itself is waterproof, although the seams and zippers are not fully waterproof.

An insulated white base panel is included. This removable panel adds structure to the bag and makes it easier to handle and pack. Its light-colored surface reflects light inside the bag, making it easier to locate equipment in low-light conditions. The panel can also be used as additional insulation against cold ground surfaces.

Dimensions:

  • Length: 159 cm
  • Width: 50 cm
  • Height: 74 cm
  • Weight: 1.3 kg (including insulated base panel)
  • Weight without insulated base panel: 1.1 kg

Tip

Our AURORAW Premium Cooker Box for two stoves fits perfectly inside both the 150L and 300L bags.

Jemtlander Pulk harness Standard / Expedition:

If the product is not in stock, it will be delivered within the stated delivery time.

These pulling harnesses are designed to fit a wide range of users. Their highly adjustable construction provides an excellent fit for different body types and hauling preferences.

Differences between the Standard and Expedition harnesses:

  • The Standard Harness features narrow 25 mm shoulder straps. The Expedition Harness is equipped with large padded shoulder straps.
  • The Standard Harness weighs 0.4 kg, while the Expedition Harness weighs 0.7 kg.
  • The Standard Harness does not include thigh straps. The Expedition Harness comes with removable thigh straps that help keep the harness securely in place and prevent it from riding up against the stomach or chest. This can occur when a heavily loaded pulk pushes forward during steep descents. The thigh straps also improve comfort when a dog is assisting with pulling.
  • On the Standard Harness, the shoulder straps cross over the chest. On the Expedition Harness, a chest strap keeps the shoulder straps securely positioned on the shoulders.

Features (Both Models):

  • Stable yet relatively lightweight pulling harness designed to perform well with both light and heavy loads. Field testing has demonstrated excellent performance in a wide variety of hauling conditions.
  • The hip belt can be adjusted from both the front and rear, ensuring that the padding is always positioned correctly over the hip bones.
  • The hip belt features a safety buckle that can be released quickly in an emergency. It is considerably easier to operate through multiple layers of clothing than conventional buckles.
  • Shoulder strap length can be adjusted to match the user's torso length, using the same principles found in high-quality backpack suspension systems.
  • The harness is supplied with chrome-plated D-rings and elastic shock cords that help absorb sudden pulling forces. Because the shock cords attach behind the D-rings, the rings remain available for additional uses such as double hauling. This allows a second person to assist on steep climbs or a tow line to be attached for a dog. The shock cord is a consumable item with a typical service life of approximately 250–600 km, depending on load weight and usage conditions.
  • The removable and adjustable shoulder straps fit users from approximately 150 cm to over 200 cm in height, depending on torso length.
  • Thanks to its design, the harness performs equally well when pulling both light and heavy loads.

Technical Specifications (Both Models):

  • Padded hip belt section size: 30 × 8.5 cm
  • Belt width: 50 mm
  • Suitable waist circumference: 65–150 cm
  • Shoulder strap adjustment range: suitable for users approximately 150 cm to over 200 cm tall
