Many outdoor enthusiasts considered the original NU25 headlamp to be an almost perfect balance of low weight and practical functionality. When the model was discontinued, users particularly missed two standout features: the ultra-low 1-lumen red light, ideal for camp tasks without disturbing others, and the high-CRI lighting mode that provided accurate color rendition for reading maps, books, and other detailed tasks.

The Nitecore NU20 Classic brings these highly appreciated features back. At the same time, it introduces several modern upgrades, including USB-C charging, a lightweight cord-style headband, a more powerful 360-lumen maximum output, and energy-efficient LED technology.

The result is an exceptionally versatile headlamp for hikers, backpackers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Weighing only 38 grams, the NU20 Classic combines minimal weight, excellent usability, and a wide range of lighting options. Its high-CRI mode, designed for accurate color reproduction, together with multiple red-light functions, makes it an excellent companion for everything from weekend trips to long-distance treks.

The headlamp features two separate LED light sources:

6000 K White LED

• Output levels: 1 lm, 38 lm, and 200 lm
• Turbo mode: 360 lm
• SOS mode: 360 lm
• Beacon mode: 360 lm

4500 K White/Red LED

• 20 lm white light with a warmer, less harsh color temperature
• Red light: 1 lm or 13 lm
• Flashing red light: 13 lm

Turbo mode provides additional brightness when maximum illumination is required. During extended use, the lamp automatically reduces output to prevent overheating and to extend battery runtime.

The white light offers a total of five brightness levels ranging from 1 to 360 lumens. Depending on the situation, users can choose between 4500 K and 6000 K color temperatures. At maximum output, the beam reaches up to 109 meters, with a runtime of up to 2 hours.

Power is supplied by an integrated 500 mAh rechargeable battery, conveniently charged via the USB-C port. A four-level battery indicator allows you to check the remaining charge at a glance, helping you keep track of available runtime even in the field.

The included reflective dual-cord headband keeps the headlamp securely in place while improving visibility in low-light conditions.
