Ranger Puukko's blade is crafted at the workshop of Laurin Metalli Oy in Kauhava, Finland. The knife's blade is made of a coated or uncoated 80CrV2 carbon steel. Coatings protect the otherwise rust-prone carbon steel from corrosion and reduces friction and the adhesion of dirt. PTFE (Teflon) coating also meets the requirements for food safety certification. The blade withstands rigorous use and can be easily sharpened again when needed. The M95 Ranger Puukko comes with a blade length of 145 mm / 5.7 in.

The feel of the TPE handle (thermoplastic elastomer) is quite rubber-like.
